Today an industry leading camera accessory manufacturer Zacuto announced their latest product, the Z-Finder EVF. A 3.2” high resolution monitor that will be used in conjunction with their industry leading line of optical viewfinders called, Z-Finders. The incredibly robust and high quality Z-Finders will mount to the monitor in place of a permanent optical viewfinder.

A little over a year ago, in the early stages of the "DSLR Revolution," The F-Stop Academy, a London based training company for filmmakers run by 20 year industry veteran Den Lennie, established themselves as one of the early resources for DSLR training with their release of the video, "Learn Canon 5D Mark II Cinematography with Philip Bloom"

Following up on the success of the first DVD they quickly produced a follow up DVD for the Canon 7D when it was released, as well as releasing a DVD educating stills shooters, by “Epic Advertising Photographer” Drew Gardner, later that year.

By following award winning photojournalist Dan Chung while on assignment covering the Hindu festival Thaipusam that takes place yearly at the Batu Caves north of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, F-Stop’s latest DSLR training video, “DSLR Video On Assignment with Dan Chung,” takes a slightly different approach than previous releases.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.jonmckee.com/blog/when-will-we-see-4k-tv-at-home.html"><rss:title>When Will We See 4K TV At Home?</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.jonmckee.com/blog/when-will-we-see-4k-tv-at-home.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>4k Broadcast TV Cameras Filmmaking Home Theater Jon McKee Video Production broadcast cable future hdtv resolution timescapes tom lowe</dc:subject>
JVC's new 4K D-ILA Projector the DLA-SH4KNLGChange happens all the time, especially in the world of television and film technology. At the moment the discussion seems focused on chip size, film look, resolution, and the democratization of production with the introduction of low cost, high quality cameras.

On my twitter feed the other night there was a tweet by Tom Lowe, of www.timescapes.org fame, that sparked a brief discussion.
</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.jonmckee.com/blog/content-is-still-king-on-jimmy-kimmel-live.html"><rss:title>Content is Still King on Jimmy Kimmel Live</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.jonmckee.com/blog/content-is-still-king-on-jimmy-kimmel-live.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>ABC Apple Content Creativity JKL Jimmy Kimmel Live Jon McKee MediaCo Video Production dallas videographer</dc:subject>

Content is still king at Jimmy Kimmel Live as they get set to air a broadcast of his late night talk show shot entirely on his Mac Book Pro Laptop.
